Tracing our Memories Database
NAPWHA is pleased to announce the release of the Tracing our Memories Database. The database lists any materials created by, for, or that represents people with HIV that are currently held in Australia or accessible online. This has been a massive undertaking, and we are proud to say that the database now lists over 180 different collections held at over 35 different institutions across Australia.
In building the database we wanted to try and ensure that our organisations and communities could engage with the database in ways that are meaningful to them. We have tried to link materials to organisations, people and events to help people trace materials across Australia that are relevant to their organisations or interests. This feature has also been important to begin to get a sense of which organisations, groups and people are well documented within material collections and which ones are currently invisible or missing.
If there is something you would like to see added to the database, or if you have any questions about either the project or any of the materials listed below, please contact beau@napwha.org.au
