This World AIDS Day 2021, NAPWHA will be marking the significance of our ongoing advocacy, representation, policy, and health promotion for people with HIV through a campaign reflecting on the Australian theme of 40 Years of HIV: Where to Next?
Our 2021 theme ‘Taking Control of Our Health’, reminds all women, regardless of our HIV status, to focus on our own health and wellbeing on the 6th National Day of Women Living with HIV.
The Australian theme for this year’s World AIDS Day is Now More Than Ever. To mark the event, NAPWHA asked a wide range of community advocates and the leaders of our member organisations and partners in the response to reflect on what the theme means to them.
In this series, created through a partnership with Gilead Sciences and NAPWHA, six exceptional people centre their lived experience, resilience, joy and hope in the inspiring HIV is: Just a part of me campaign.
At the NAPWHA and AFAO joint Annual General Meeting 2019, we posed several questions to community advocates and leaders to craft a series of videos for World AIDS Day 2019 and to put people living with HIV at the heart of the campaign. The Australian theme for this year’s World AIDS Day is ‘Every Journey Counts’, and in our video series we ask our advocates and leaders what that theme means to them.
