Today the Positive Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Network (PATSIN) met to discuss the Black Lives Matter protest actions taking place in Australia and around the world and to issue this powerful call to action.
In April 2020, at the height of COVID-19 in Australia NAPWHA sought to connect directly with community to gather information on the impact of COVID-19. 147 people living with HIV responded to the survey. This provided valuable information on location, age, gender identity, number of co-morbid conditions, experiences with virtual telehealth, views on COVID-19, and respondent’s most pressing needs.
ARV relief fund provides assistance for people living with HIV still paying full price co-payments for HIV medications
For people living with HIV whose income has dropped during the COVID-19 crisis, and who are still paying full price co-payments for HIV medications—NAPWHA can assist with a one-off payment to cover a four-months’ supply.
NAPWHA would also like to announce the exciting appointment of Daniel Reeders to the position of Project Officer – Education Resources. This announcement also comes with the return of Adrian Ogier to the appointment of NAPWHA Deputy Director since March 2020.
CHINWAG: Positive Connection is a safe, inclusive and dynamic virtual space where every Friday, for one hour, the ever fabulous Vanessa Wagner will be hosting a Zoom video conference event with a team of HIV Peer supporters. This space aims to create a fun space for people living with HIV to have a yarn, unwind and come together.
