Beyond Resilience was the first Australian virtual congress for people with HIV. It asked what happens when we look beyond merely coping with what life throws our way.
Part of the answer is ‘Finding Joy’, and that’s our organising theme for NAPWHA’s second virtual community event for the body positive in Australia, plus our friends and colleagues in Oceania and South East Asia.
This townhall-style event will feature diverse and dynamic speakers from a wide range of positive communities, personal backgrounds and lived experiences of HIV.
Our theme ‘Finding Joy’ refers to moments that give us energy for life — and re-discovering happiness, connection and meaning after life-changing experiences like HIV diagnosis.
The event will feature the launch of the Australian Community Accord on Quality of Life for People with HIV, which incorporates the insights and experiences that people living with HIV shared with us at the online community events NAPWHA held in 2021.
Please register today and watch for a program announcement coming soon!
You can also apply for a participation bursary. The bursary is available to anyone who would have to give up paid work to take part in the event. You are eligible if you can show us a recent casual payslip or a healthcare card.
This event is made possible by the kind support of ViiV Healthcare Australia.
