WA PLHIV Community Contact List

A Pathway To Empowerment

PLHIV in Western Australia now have the opportunity to be part of a separate peer-based group to receive communication about matters related to HIV both locally and nationally.

On receipt of your contact details, NAPWHA will add you to a separate list of HIV-positive people living in Western Australia.

Members of the list will receive information from both NAPWHA and your peers in Western Australia such as:

  • Health promotion and advocacy information
  • Invitations to networks, events and social groups
  • Invitations to participate in developing policies and campaigns
  • Invitations to develop leadership skills

There are a number of benefits to joining this contact list. NAPWHA believes it will empower PLHIV in Western Australia to live their lives to their full potential, in good health and free from discrimination.

In 2015, NAPWHA was approached to consider if it would administer a confidential contact list for the purpose of connecting people with HIV in Western Australia and to support the development of a peer-based organisation.

NAPWHA provides national representation and advocacy for the needs of people living with HIV in Australia. One of the ways that it does this is to support effective engagement with member organisations and national networks. NAPWHA is proud to host a communication network for PLHIV in Western Australia to support the development of a peer-based organisation.

NAPWHA is bound by The Privacy Act 1988. NAPWHA employs a number of measures to maintain the security of information. You have the right to access your information kept by us, if you wish to do so then please let us know.

You can unsubscribe from this list at anytime.
